Yes! That's exactly it, it feels like Minna spent quite a while stacking the odds against Emil to leave him isolated as a consequence of different plot points. Lalli is unconscious and Emil was already resentful about the group as a whole not really caring, he's not happy with Mikkel for busting his leg, he didn't understand what was happening with the ghosts and Sigrun yelled at him for it, he wasn't ready for another monster fight or guard duty apart from the group... now the cat-tank is gone, Sigrun is in danger and Mikkel is trying to get her out (and not a combatant, unless we get a surprising Mikkel reveal out of this as well).
Hum. On second thoughts... it's been quite a downward spiral. Maybe it's not a hero moment at all to turn the tide, and rather a critical fail of some sort? Probably as the weekend cliffhanger, while we're at it...
