- 128: This makes me wonder, how common are horses in non-metropolitan areas? Seems like there aren't many in Keuruu, enough that Lalli doesn't know what they are (I mean, trains too, but still) and Tuuri is excited to see them. Phone lines and radio system. I wonder what kind of pop culture they have. Do the Västerström kids listen to radio serials? omg. Interesting moment of sensitivity from Emil there, too.


- 130: And now we see just why she quit, jesus shit.


- 131: ...no children around? I thought there were civilian portions of Keuruu?


- 132: Emil, no. They can't even afford equipment that isn't broken! Bosse's resting bitchface sure is something.


- 135: I do hope we get to see more Emil-Tuuri goofing around, they're so great.

- 140: I am in love with how much Emil's cousins love him. So sweet.

128: I love the idea of radio serials. New headcanon get!

130: There are civilian areas in Keuruu, but it looks like the residential area is behind an additional wall: http://sssscomic.com/comic.php?page=70
So maybe children exist there, but there are very few occasions where Tuuri would actually see them?

Right? Just taking a look, radio drama has been around almost as long as radio -- and I don't doubt people are craving entertainment variety! I can see them having something like BBC's lineup in place.


Oh, yeah, they are pretty contained. And it's a minority of the population. Hmm, that would make sense then. Now that you pointed it out, could be that it's not even families, just academics and temp workers, too.

And this just brings around again, that we don't know nearly as much about Keuruu (and Mora, and everywhere) as we want.

This is terrible!

But agreed, workers + academics would make sense, for Keuruu, considering its status as a base etc. I wonder about the makeup in the rest of Finland.... (I wonder a lot of things about the rest of Finland :T)
