Comic Discussion Post [CLOSED]

NOTE: This discussion post is closed. Go HERE for the new discussion post.

Use this post for discussion of Minna's comics! Feel free to post about the most recent SSSS updates, or about earlier developments. aRTD discussion is also allowed here.

Discussion does not have to be limited to the comic itself; if you just want to gush about how hot Sigrun is, or open up a thread for fanwork prompt requests, or discuss SSSS/aRTD in the context of multifandom fanwork exchanges, that's okay too!

In order to easily see the most recent posts, I suggest using Flat View.

Some things change, some things stay the same... (my own ideas will be in the replies, need to get them down)

-Neat handwriting is very important in more remote areas where typewriters are scarce. Skalds are required to have tidy handwriting, though not necessarily required to conform to a certain style. It isn't unheard of to get someone else to write one's letters (a skald, or someone who just happens to have good writing) when it comes to non-personal communication, especially anything for official purposes.

-It's common for households to have at least one active blank book that is used as a Miscellany (typically containing, among other things: recipes, family trees, property notes, life events, medical/healing notes, song lyrics, poetry, and short stories). This is typical even in more literate/prosperous areas.

-Longform handwritten manuscripts are not as common as the short works in miscellanies. They are not preferred by those in more literate/populous areas, and possessing only these in one's personal library is a sign that one is a little bit backwater/unrefined. Typewritten/printed books for longform works are of course the ideal.

-Libraries exist in many places, but being able to take books home with you is typically only permitted in the more populous cities of Iceland and Sweden.
