That's interesting. I hadn't considered that. Would you mind going into more detail about what you mean?

I figure, he's expecting shit to hit the fan (esp considering the omen looked like the Moose of Hiisi) but I didn't really consider the idea of him expecting to die there. Well, I mean, any more than he typically would, given that it's a constant risk factor.

I can't actually motivate it that well (words are hard!), but if Lalli's uneasiness extendedd into a generic shit-going-down feeling or if the omen applied to anyone else, I'd think he would at least try to let them know. It's part of his job, he takes a lot of pride in doing that well, and by now he should know that Sigrun at least trusts his abilities.

But him feeling uneasy before he ever went into Odense, asking to go home, closing his eyes when they went into Odense proper like it was some point of no return, refusing Mikkel's cookie and even ignoring Emil, that's all very self-focused, not something outward. Same now with the troll. Sigrun is right there and he could easily have communicated for her to come with him. Didn't happen.

And then there's the Moose of Hiisi, which has all that relation to sacred places in the Finnish forests, and then there's Onni's little aside about how he belongs to the forest, not a Christian afterlife. I expect the same thing is true for other Finnish mages as well, so it shattering the way Reynir did in his ghost vision may actually have been an omen of death for Lalli specifically? Idk. It made sense in my head.

Huh! Interesting. Thanks for writing that out. I can kind of see what you mean.

I guess all we can do is wait and see what happens!
