Also, hm. I wonder, it was said that only stronger mages can borrow the form of their luonto/fylgja-- does that not apply to long distance calls? Just, like, use 'em as a reception tower?

I thought that was only specified for Finnish mages? Because the luonto is literally part of one's soul, while the fylgja is not.

But now I'm not sure (and too lazy to go dig up the page).

I'm glad they're able to get him to help, but something tells me it'll take more than Onni to fix things this time.

Aaaand Reynir only mentioned the horde of trolls... the ghosts chasing the trolls towards the crew are a waaaaay bigger problem. So when Onni flies to the rescue, he might be prepared for trolls but not ghosts? Pretty sure those require different spells/protections/attacks/idk.

Yyyep. Especially since the only other time he's encountered ghosts like this is when the crew was in Copenhagen. So, he really doesn't know what he's getting into.

AND he got injured then too, the ghosts slashed at his ear, though whether or not he was actually injured or if it was coincidence that the kids cut his ear at that moment is still up for debate.

I've been wondering for a while... If any injury to your spirit form is somehow mirrored on your physical body, that brings up interesting questions - do wounds just appear, or does it always require coincidences like the kids cutting Onni's hair/ear? If it requires people, does fate just... move random murderers or something to be on hand if two mages fight to the death with their spirits?

On a happier note, it seems really, reaaaally easy for Reynir to reach Onni, while Lalli can't do it despite actually knowing Onni. ~~Soulmate AU where the red thread of fate links Reynir and Onni XD~~

I've been thinking about that too, and... so far I have no answers. Contemplating it just makes my head hurt. xD This is the first canon I've read where this happens, so I'm finding it hard to wrap my head around. Hopefully we'll get more answers with time.

And yesss I love how easy it is for Reynir to contact Onni. ~~I would be interested in that soulmate AU xD~~
