I'm sort of undecided, sicne it sounds like we'll be getting more details, BUT. Bornholm is fucking crawling with Madsens. Mikkel has so many cousins/etc, that he no longer bothers to remember how he's related to many of the Madsens, they just are.


Likewise, the Norwegian army is crawling with Eides. Unlikewise, it's probably clan creed to know exactly who is part of what subset of the Eide clan. If you don't know, you will very likely learn fast when your third cousin twice removed, of the Andersen/Pedersen Eides, bolts right up to you, kicks you in the shin, and demands a fight for glory and probably whatever you're eating at the time. You bet your ass genealogical preambles are involved in the challenging process, saga-style.

Same, I'm reluctant to decide anything for sure too, because I certainly hope we'll get more details. It's certainly possible.

I love your ideas, though. Can't throw a stone without hitting a Madsen. They're everywhere. Like weeds.

OH. Also I hope Sigrun's parents have the most hilariously commonplace names. Like the post-Rash-Norwegian equivalent of like Paula and Bob. The mighty viking warrior Sigrun, Daughter of Paula, Daughter of Alice, Daughter of Steven, Son of Aksel the Anxious.

Beeteedubs, that nickname is absolutely Sigrun Larsen's doing. Goran and Ingrid tried to help make 'Aksel the Red' catch on but they just couldn't override it.
