Maybe a little. But then again, Denmark has kind of damp weather, so it's hard to say.

Considering how desperate they might be getting, maybe it wouldn't hurt to at least look, heh.

Well, that sure does look like a mess waiting to happen.

I doubt they will be able to haul the entire book collection with them, so hopefully Tuuri and Mikkel will be able to do some quick selection before they go.

But yikes, a week of walking... and with two non-immunes to boot. This is not good.

Sigrun does not look happy with that plan... how are they going to keep the ghosts away? Since Lalli made Reynir draw that protection thing on the back of the tank. I mean, they can't exactly draw it on everyone's shirt?

What do we do with the books?

A wheelbarrow it is, then.

I wonder how well this stuff would hold up after 90 years. Suppose if it was clean, dry, and undisturbed, it would be mostly okay... but what are the chances of that? Assuming they find, say, a hardware store - places like that aren't built to withstand 90 years of disuse.

raremaleslashex is basically the same thing as the old M/M Rares exchange.

Pairings must be M/M with under 200 complete 1k English-language fanworks on Ao3. Minimum requirements are 1k fanfic or 1 complete fanart.

Noms are currently open and will be until May 15th.
Signups start May 29th.

Ok but consider:

- Lalli and Emil being sent on a "shopping trip" together, apparently just the two of them unless someone's added tomorrow (and if they add Tuuri so help me I'm going to riot)
- Lalli and Emil barely sharing a few words in each others' languages
- What could go wrong

ADD TO THIS:

- Reynir's prophetic vision of one person pushing a wheelbarrow, his footsteps sinking so deep in the snow that it looks like the wheelbarrow's heavy
- ONE person. ONE set of footprints.

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG.

...So, clearly this scenario is tailor-made for somebody getting whumped. Of the two of them, my bets are on Emil. But perhaps not?

If it's Emil, then the team's going to lack their flame thrower guy. That might make an interesting trek to the ship, what with having both combatants more or less out.

If it's Lalli, they're out of a scout and the only fully functional mage, leaving only the Icelandic option for dealing with spirit stuff and eight legged horsies.

If it's Emil, well... he's a vaguely mediocre flamethrower guy. Entirely possible that someone else could use his gear after a bit of instruction.

If it's Lalli, they're fucked, unless Reynir pulls out some badass moves somehow. Which is possible, if they finally come across the Pastor.

Sorry for jumping into the topic, but could the Pastor end up being the eight-legged horse ghost thing?

I haven't seen anything that would point toward it. What makes you think so?

Emil is just giving Lalli a wheelbarrow ride, nothing ominous about that at all, noooooooo~.

Oh hell, I hadn't thought that that could be what Reynir's vision was pointing at, and now Mikkel's "return before nightfall" sounds so much more ominous. :/

^ I find this really interesting. And I hope somebody will take this and run with it. Sigrun is obviously talking from experience... good fodder for fic, perhaps.

I wonder if the "send out whatever help you've promised, even if you think they're dead" is standard everywhere, or if it's mainly how the Norwegians conduct things.
