I keep telling myself that they've got to come out on top in the end, somehow, if only just for the premise of more adventures to happen. It probably wouldn't have to include the tank, and at the moment I'm suspecting that the chapter cover actually heralds the tank's demise, not that of Tuuri any of the crew, but that's... half-baked guesswork, so far. And I'd be sad regardless.

Or at least... alive again. I'm not ruling out some sort of underworld road trip, just based on aRTD. No guarantee, of course, but... eh. (In that case, if the tank "dies" sometime soon, they could at least have a vehicle down there, heh.)

But there really is no good option now, other than fixing the tank, is there? Even if they seal the tank and come back for the books later, everything else carries a fairly substantial risk of death, dismemberment, ghostification, or some other gruesome fate. I suppose if the ship has a mage on board, Reynir could dreamwalk there and alert them for a rescue mission, but the team would have to hang on that long first (depending on how long "several days" has been since the attack, probably two weeks minimum), and if the fishing is any indication they're running low on provisions already. :/
