... I was sure Minna had said no one was going to die. Did I dream that? Though I guess Tuuri isn't dead yet. Just.

Okay, wild theory. The ghosts came from the failed cure that stopped the infection but killed the patient, right? So presumably that cure pushed the spirit out of the body, which is generally deadly. However! There were no mages around back when the rash was new, but there are mages now... so if they use that fail cure, possibly one of the mages can... just push the spirit right back inside, so the body doesn't have time to die? Or something like that.
